Program Overview
The Young Women’s Leadership Council of YWCA Lethbridge and District is a committee dedicated to the empowerment of young women and strives to promote leadership, advocacy, support equality, and wellness of mind, body and spirit.
The Council puts on a variety of events and promotional activities each year that advocate for social justice, all while giving participants the opportunity to learn about board governance. Some examples of events the YWLC have participated in or put on include:
- Attire to Inspire
- Warm for the Winter
- She Sparks My Heart
- Survivor Love Letters
- International Women’s Day
- December 6th National Day of Remembrance
- Coldest Night of the Year
Enrollment
Intake of applications takes place in early Fall of each year.
