Program Overview

The YWise Guys conference is an annual conference put on in partnership with Lethbridge School District #51. It hosts over 75 youth from Lethbridge and Southern Alberta each year.

The YWise Guys conference explores the inner and outer strength of our youth and increases the awareness of issues facing them as they grow up. It encourages attendees to think critically about masculinity, gender stereotypes, and the impact they have on others.

While the conference theme changes from year to year, some of the sessions may include information about:

  • positive relationships
  • toxic masculinity
  • bullying/harm reduction
  • emotions
  • healthy communication and problem solving
  • internet safety/cyberviolence
  • career choices
  • self esteem
  • discrimination and stereotypes
  • preventing violence
