YWCA Women’s Residence is a safe and secure, semi-supported living environment for women and children to rent at below market prices. There are 25 single rooms and 5 double rooms split between 2 floors. Kitchens, washrooms and laundry are shared.
Residence Counselors are on site during regular business hours to support residents through the work required to graduate to fully independent living. Supports provided include:
- connections to other community resources
- help securing funding
- weekly trips to the food bank
- one on one coaching
- crisis support
- life skills training (budgeting, cooking, etc)
- self care groups (yoga, book club, art therapy, etc)
- assistance with court proceedings and probation requirements
- connections to mental health & addiction services
- client-driven action plans
Harbour House staff is in charge of Residence floor outside of business hours, and the Residence Counselor team lead has an on call number in case of emergencies.

Applicants must qualify for third-party rent payment through Alberta Works/AISH.
Applicants must be approved by YWCA staff.
