ANNOUNCING THE 2018 YWCA WOMEN OF DISTINCTION AWARD RECIPIENTS

 

Lethbridge, AB – Nine amazing Southern Alberta women are the recipients of this year’s YWCA Women of Distinction awards. The women (and their award category) are as follow:

  • Lifetime Achievement: Paula Burns
  • Leadership and Management: Tania Stilson
  • Community Leadership & Enhancement: Amanda Bauer
  • Community Leadership & Enhancement: Jennifer Takahashi
  • Entrepreneurship and Innovation: Renae Barlow
  • Education and Mentorship: Silvana Campus
  • Education and Mentorship: Elma Guinto
  • Young Woman of Promise: Imogen Pohl
  • Wellness, Recreation and Healthy Living: Tara Lennox

These women will be honoured at an awards ceremony Friday, March 9th at the Lethbridge Lodge, starting at 6:30pm. Tickets are $75 each (with a tax receipt for $25) and are available through Eventbrite.ca.

YWCA Women of Distinction awards are presented annually by YWCA Lethbridge & District to women who have distinguished themselves through their achievement as individuals, as members of their communities, and as role models for other women.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am honoured to be able to celebrate amazing women who are contributing to the community in such a positive way,” says Board Co-Chair, Jaylene Ulmer. “Through personal, professional and volunteer endeavours, these recipients truly demonstrate the significant impact one person can have on the lives of many.”
