Each year, YWCA Lethbridge & District presents Women of Distinction Awards to women from Southern Alberta who have distinguished themselves through their achievements as individuals, groups, members of their community and role models for other women – women who exemplify our mission and vision.

YWCA Women of Distinction are leaders, mentors, facilitators, communicators, supporters, and listeners. Their unique contributions enrich both our lives and our community. As a women’s organization, we are committed to increasing public recognition of the significant contributions that women from all walks of life make in and around Lethbridge.

YWCA Lethbridge & District is seeking nominations of women that you believe have made a difference in our community to receive one of our 2024 Women of Distinction Awards.

We are committed to women and the enhancement of their lives by providing programs and services which empower them, support equality, and promote wellness of mind, body, and spirit.

Our Vision

We are a community leader committed to collaborative partnerships in the provision of accessible prevention, intervention and support programs and services for the enhancement of women’s lives.

Important Dates to Note

Nominations Open – Monday, January 8, 2024

Nominations Close – Sunday, February 11, 2024

Recipients Notified – Wednesday, February 21, 2024

Women of Distinction Award Ceremony – Friday, March 8, 2024 (International Women’s Day).

All nominations require a completed application form as well as two letters of support for the nominee. All completed applications to be submitted to communications@ywcalethbridge.com by Sunday, February 11, 2024.
