YWCA Week Without Violence:
YWCA Week Without Violence is an annual worldwide campaign to stop violence in all its forms. Each year, during the third week of October, YWCAs across Canada and the globe host activities that focus on raising awareness about gender-based violence, promoting attitude change and enabling individuals & organizations to begin taking positive actions to ending violence in our community.
Take Back the Night:
YWCA Take Back the Night is a community protest & direct action against sexual violence, held annually on the third Friday of October during YWCA Week Without Violence.
Fashion your own sign or pick up one of ours, and join us as we work our way through the streets of Lethbridge to confront violence against women, ending at YWCA Lethbridge for free cookies and hot cocoa. Take Back the Night is appropriate for all ages; EVERYONE is welcome!
